Baptiste Certified Teacher, Yoga Alliance 500 hour RYT
Mary is the founder and owner of NHPY, Baptiste Power Vinyasa Institute's first Affiliate Studio. She is a Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Teacher as well as a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Teacher at the 500 hour level (E-RYT 500). NH Power Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance (RYS 200) offering Baptiste Power Yoga Teacher Trainings. Mary appears in Baron Baptiste's popular DVD series, Journey Into Power.
Mary has been teaching Baptiste Power Vinyasa for over ten years to thousands of students both locally and internationally. On her yogic path of self-discovery, Mary has found her yoga practice to be a powerful tool in combatting obesity, back problems, and depression. Through her personal experiences, she has been blessed to share her wisdom with others!
Mary considers being a yoga student and a yoga teacher as going hand in hand. She continually deepens and expands her studies by attending annual trainings with primarily Baron Baptiste, as well as other yoga masters including Gary Kraftsow, John Friend, Rod Stryker, Sean Corn, Shiva Rea, Nastasha Rizopoulos, Anna Forrest, Cyndi Lee, Tom Myers, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Thich Nat Hahn, and Jon Kabat-Zinn.
In her own practice and in her teaching, Mary focuses on being in a mindset of curiosity, open to possibility! She takes a light-hearted approach encouraging herself and her students to continually remind themselves to be non-judgemental. Having dealt with on-going spine problems, she continually finds wonderment in what she is capable of on her mat and in her life! Baron teaches "Whether you think you can or can't you're right". It is one of Mary's favorite teaching and learning tools, and is a constant reminder of how powerful our own thoughts can be! She feels so blessed to have found this practice of Empowerment, which is Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga, and is equally delighted in sharing the light with you all!
