Diane Yanzo
While living outside of Boston, a long time friend of Diane’s talked her into trying this much talked about “Hot Yoga.” Usually up for trying most anything at least once, she agreed and in 2000 attended her first Baron Baptiste Power Yoga class. Diane fell in love with what the practice had to offer – strength, cardio, flexibility, detoxification, and meditation, all packed into a 90 minute class. Plagued with injuries from years of running, yoga offered Diane a way to get the physical workout she craved, but in a way that was gentle and loving to her body. Wonderful shifts began to happen that were totally unexpected. “I think the biggest shift for me is awareness of myself and my impact to others and to the environment. I was always a pretty healthy eater and it good physical condition, but with yoga I feel more well rounded and balanced.”
Diane has trained with Baron at Kripalu in April 2007 for a Personal Revolution Weekend, in Hawaii in February 2008 for Level I Teacher Training, and most recently in Utah in September of 2009 for a Teacher Basic Boot Camp. Each of these training sessions with Baron has been life changing. Ask anyone who gets her talking about Baron and his trainings and she can’t stop glowing. In addition, Diane has trained with several other master yogi’s including Bryan Kest, Seane Corn, Tom Gillette, Erich Schiffmann, Sherri Baptiste (yes, Baron’s sister), and Ana Forrest.
“I’m honored to be part of the NH Power Yoga team and look forward to meeting you all on your mat.”
